Gajar ka halwa ( how to cook Gajar ka halwa. ) is a popular sweet dish made in India. Although you can make carrot halwa in every season, in the winter, when halwa is made from fresh garden carrots, it tastes better and is better for your health.  I like carrot halwa very much, I make it at home in 3 ways.  Red, soft, and long carrots should always be used to make Gajar Ka Halwa. Gajar ka halwa how to cook gajar ka halwa.

Triditional gajar ka halwa with milk.

Traditional carrot halwa is made with milk, ghee, or khoya. Here we will make carrot pudding with milk.

First, take 1 kg of carrots (8 to 10 long carrots) and wash them.

Peel the carrots after draining the carrot water.

Grate the carrots. (Use the coarse part of the grater to grate the carrots.)

Ingredients.

1 kg grated carrots (10-12 long red ones)

5 teaspoons ghee,

1 litre of milk,

10 almonds, 10 cashews,

10 green cardamoms,

sugar as per taste.

(You can add pistachios, raisins, or other dry fruits as per your choice.)

1 . To make carrot pudding, heat 5 spoons of ghee in a pan and add grated carrots. 

2 . Fry the carrots on a low flame till they become soft.

3 . Add milk to the carrots and mix.

4 . Add sugar to the carrots and keep stirring occasionally. 

5 . Now add the chopped almonds, cashews, pistachios, and cardamom and mix.  

6 . Boil the carrot halwa on medium heat till it thickens.

7 . Turn off the flame as soon as the halwa leaves the sides of the pan.  

8 . Carrot pudding is ready.  You can serve carrot halwa hot.

Gajar halwa with mawa.

Gajar ka halwa is made with khoya in almost all the sweet shops in India. You can easily make it at home. The taste of halwa made from khoya is delicious.

Ingredients.

1 kg grated carrots (10-12 long red ones)

5 teaspoons ghee.

300-350 gm mawa.

10 almonds, 10 cashews.

10 green cardamoms.

sugar as per taste.

(You can add pistachios, raisins, or other dry fruits as per your choice.)

1 . To make carrot pudding, heat 5 spoons of ghee in a pan and add grated carrots. 

2 . Fry the carrots on a low flame till they become soft.

3 . Add two cups of grated mawa (300–350 grams).

4 . Add sugar according to the sweetness of the khoya and mix.

5 . Now add the chopped almonds, cashews, pistachios, and cardamom and mix.

6 . Boil the carrot halwa on medium heat till it thickens.

7 . Turn off the flame as soon as the halwa leaves the sides of the pan.  

8 . Carrot pudding is ready.  You can serve carrot halwa hot.
